who is Luxudor
Luxudor as a concept has been at the heart and soul of its founder for more than 10 years as he had seen the deterioration of the service levels provided by peers worldwide. When an opportunity arose, he embarked on the journey to set up a company that would become a market disrupter and start to put the service back into being an accountant and providing clients with the help and guidance that is totally lacking no matter if they are in London, Luton, Luxemburg, or Limassol. Everyone deserves to receive the best level of service to ensure their financial and tax activities are professionally understood and undertaken.
Firmly believing that this foundation would be the platform to launch the business from, and knowing that there is as many reasons to start a business as there are to not when there is economic, political and geographical turmoil. He took the plunge during the pandemic of 2020. Knowing full well that in such unprecedented times, people and businesses were facing some of the biggest challenges to maintain operational success, and some made pivotal changes that they would never have even considered before such a behemoth impact.
The challenges facing everyone were immense, and as businesses struggled to adapt, a need was created by the various governments for businesses, individuals including but not limited to high net-worth individuals (HNWI’s), to turn to professionals who could advise and assist in various unseen scenarios that were being presented. The tax authorities were seen to be trying to help with grants and incentives, at the same time, the United Kingdom specifically was going through a massive change as a result of Brexit, and the everyday life of ordinary people were not only trying to sustain income but were also learning to try and maintain everything remotely to avoid becoming ill from Covid.
From those early days of Luxudor, we are proud to say that the combined total of years of professional experience within the accounting and finance sector exceeds 50 years. Luxudor works with HMRC and other tax authorities across multiple industries, including sole traders within the domestic and international sphere and offers services including company structuring, troubleshooting, all accounting services and forensic investigation.

Difference between a Certified Accountant and a Chartered Accountant?
The difference is nowadays negligible, the Chartered Accountant term is used in England and Wales to describe what Americans would a call a certified Accountant.
The Chartered Accountant term first appeared over 150 years ago and designated Accountants who had a Royal Charter granted to them under Queen Victoria in England and Scotland. The Chartered designation came as a result of the certification test at that time.
Both Chartered and Certified Accountants undergo similar training and have to take a series of exams to be able to practice accounting. The training,exams and experience necessary to practice accounting depends on the region of the world you are, e.g. In Australia you have to take your exams and have 2 years Practice experience and have a masters education. In the United Kingdom “Chartered Accountants” must be members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, you cand then after passing all exams and being a member of the above be called a Chartered accountant.
The capabilities of a Chartered Accountant and Certified Accountant are the same…..so in short it is which Association you are a member of and each Association has a very strict code of ethics. Both still have to qualify and apply for a Public Practising certification to be able to serve the public.
By hiring an unqualified accountant may save you money, but certainly will not have the knowledge and qualified capability, and will cost you more money in the long run.
THE LAW: If you want to provide self employed book keeping services or accountancy services to the public in the UK, Channel islands or Isla of Man you must hold at minimum a valid AAT (association of Accounting Technicians) Licence and be supervised for anti-money laundering compliance and hold a practicing licence. By not doing so heavy Penalties can be levied as well as criminal offences committed.

Qualification
The founder, Craig Johnson, studied and qualified in London attaining professional accounting qualifications while working for the globally recognised blue-chip company, Guinness PLC. From which he moved on to a Cancer Research campaign as head of financial systems and then being headhunted by a highly respected London Accountancy practice specialising in high net worth companies and individuals. Paramount in building and managing our client relationships is that we value the need to employ strict practices regarding compliance and confidentiality, for which our clients enjoy the knowledge that we do not just consider them as a number. Luxudor maintains a full CPA (Certified Public Accountants practising certificate) with full professional indemnity insurance. Luxudor’s other partners hold the highest certification in Information Security, Risk Management together with SixSigma Black Belt in Lean Management.
